MOVE OVER! LIVES DEPEND ON IT
THE "MOVE OVER LAW" REQUIRES MOTORISTS TO MOVE OVER WHEN A PATROL CAR, FIRE TRUCK, EMERGENCY VEHICLE, TOW TRUCK, SANITATION OR UTILITY VEHICLE IS STOPPED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH ITS LIGHTS FLASHING. IF SUCH MOVEMENT CANNOT BE SAFELY ACCOMPLISHED, MOTORISTS SHALL SLOW DOWN TO A SPEED 20 MPH BELOW THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT.
MISSION
Educating drivers about the "slow down - move over laws" to make the roadways a safer place for emergency personnel, law enforcement and tow truck / wrecker operators.
